Domaines de recherche

Mes recherches visent à interpréter et modéliser les processus d'exploration visuelle engagées dans plusieurs activités de la vie réelle : lecture (textes), recherche d'information (site Web) et interprétation d'images.
• La lecture est étudiée sous une perspective fondamentale (nature des représentations et processus) et appliquée (ergonomie cognitive). Plusieurs situations de lecture sont étudiées: lecture électronique, lecture textuelle, lecture de partitions musicales, lecture de documents multimodaux.
• La recherche d'information consiste à modéliser le parcours suivi par le regard lors d'une inspection visuelle de pages web (ANR Blanc: EYE-LSA) au moyen de la technique des EFRPs (ANR Blanc: GAZE-EEG).
• L'interprétation d'images vise à comprendre le rôle des processus attentionnels dans le parcours oculaire sur des images ou tableaux artistiques (FP6-STREP-NEST: PERCEPT).
L'ensemble de ces travaux utilise l'oculométrie cognitive (Eye-Tracking) comme méthode d'investigation. L'amélioration de cette technique est une préoccupation permanente et de nouvelles mesures comportementales sont sans cesse développées:
• Analyse optimisée du diamètre pupillaire (TERPs) et de la réponse électrodermale visant à fournir une mesure de la charge cognitive et de l'émotion.
• Mesure de trajectoires oculaires (Scanpaths) par le développement d'algorithmes spécifiques (voir article Behavior Research & Methods)
• Technique des Potentiels Cérébraux associés aux Fixations (Eye-Fixation-Related Potentials) (Brevet n° FR20050007838  26/01/2007).
